Video Editing for Media Arts
This resource supports secondary Media Arts teachers in introducing video editing in the classroom.
It provides an overview of Adobe Premiere Pro, along with practical strategies for using the tool to support students’ digital literacy and media production skills.
Digital Literacy
Video editing helps students develop digital literacy by creating and communicating ideas through audiovisual media. Using Adobe Premiere Pro, students organise footage, combine sound and images, and construct meaning for an audience. These practices align with the Digital Literacy capability identified by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).
